Guru VishramVridh Ashram (Old Age Home) is managed by the SHEOWS. SHEOWS (Saint Hardyal Educational and Orphan Welfare Society) is registered under Society Registration Act 1860 and the Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Act, 1976. Since last 14 years we are providing free shelter, food, clothing, medical care facilities, love and affection to the elderly. Most of these elderly are picked up from the streets of Delhi NCR or brought in by Police/hospital authorities and are homeless destitute or helpless old people. When found on the streets they are in poor physical/mental conditions, suffering from various mental and physical problems such as Alzheimer, dementia, paralysis, fractured bones etc.
Right now we are taking care of 280 elderly residents in our New Delhi and Garhmukteshwar Ashram. Since the ashram has been setup we have provided completely free food, shelter and medical care service to over 3120 elderly individual. About 1410 residents have been cremated by now and more than 1430 people have been rehabilitated to their own homes. Now, they are being taken care of and living with their loved one.
