Japanese Minister Shingo Miyamoto Inaugurates Medical Equipment Project at SHEOWS

Japanese Economic and Development Minister Mr. Shingo Miyamoto inaugurated The Project for Provision of Medical Equipment at Saint Hardyal Educational and Orphans Welfare Society (SHEOWS), in Garhmukteshwar, Uttar Pradesh on 16 June 2022.

The inauguration took place in the presence of Dr. G.P. Bhagat, Founder SHEOWS; Mr. Saurabh Bhagat, Director SHEOWS; Mr. Ryuhei Nishi, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan; Ms. Yuka Aota, Economic Cooperation Assistant, GGP, Embassy of Japan; Ms. Babita, Project Coordinator, GGP, Embassy of Japan; and Shri Rajeev Tarara, MLA Dhanaura, Uttar Pradesh.

The Japan Embassy funded the medical equipment and constructed two lifts to help the abandoned and destitute elderly. This construction will ensure quick and accurate diagnoses, further ensuring their physical and mental wellbeing.

For the last two decades, SHEOWS has been working for the welfare of abandoned and destitute elderly, ensuring their physical and mental wellbeing through paramedical services, nutritive meals, and a safe and hospitable environment.

The Government of Japan extended its support to SHEOWS under The Grant Assistance for Grassroots Project scheme, under which the Japanese Government supports Indian organizations working in education, healthcare, etc.

This project will ensure proper treatment of the abandoned and destitute elderly and secure their physical and mental well-being for years to come.
